Company Overview
PDC Consultants is one of the world's largest structural and mechanical workshop detailing companies.
Since its establishment in 1972, PDC has grown from a team of three to a company of more than 100 experienced professionals. PDC also has access to a further 130 resources through stringently tested subcontractors.
Our proven expertise combined with the latest in 3D modelling technology has built an impressive portfolio of projects across a range of industries, including mining, oil and gas and power and infrastructure. Our clients include BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Woodside Energy and Alcoa.
PDC has earned a reputation for providing a quality, professional service, on schedule and within budget. Our team understands that each project has its own set of unique requirements and challenges and our aim is to provide innovative, cost effective solutions that have a positive impact on each project.
PDC can dedicate more than 30,000 direct man hours a month to a project. This enables clients to produce anywhere between 2000 and 5000 tonnes of steelwork per month, depending on the complexity of the project. The company's size also gives it the flexibility to handle both large and small projects and tight deadlines.
Our staff average more than 10 years of service with the company and this is reflected in their excellent understanding of our goals and systems. With averages of 14 years modelling experience and 38 years checking experience, PDC ensures a high level of quality.

PDC's biggest project to date is the Fortescue Metals Group Cloudbreak Mine in Western Australia's Pilbara region. At its peak, the project required in excess of 100 detailers who detailed more than 10,000 tonnes of steelwork and produced over 50,000 drawings.
At Australia's largest gold mine, Newcrest Mining's Telfer Mine, PDC designed and detailed more than 4,000 tonnes of mechanical equipment, conveyors and structures.
